There cannot be many golfers in Ireland who have played as many courses as we have. Since we started our journey back in the late 1990s we have played around 350 of them. And we’re planning on more!
We have travelled throughout the country in a two berth camper van, parking overnight in golf club car parks or in ‘holes in the hedge’ up a lane or beside the beach or up a mountain, before playing our round – often with a local man or woman – and then exploring the area.
So this isn’t a book of golf course reviews. What I hope to do is give a flavour of the places we have been and the wonderful, quirky, funny and engaging people we have met on our golfing adventure.
It has been, and continues to be, terrific fun.
