Clive was involved with Scouting for many years in county Down, and particularly with Killyleagh Parish Scout Group. He is fondly remembered in the town by many of the boys and families he influenced.
As a great hoarder of information he took it upon himself to put together this book to document the adventures he and his former Scouts, now grown men with their own families, got up to in days past. It recalls the tremendous fun they had, evident in the many photographs of camps and foreign trips.

I often think of those great days of Scouting in Killyleagh and so I thought it was time to write something for all my former Scouts to pick up and read. I still am pleased to see so many of you in and around Killyleagh and I hope you will all enjoy some nostalgic remembrances of the fun you had in Killyleagh Parish Scout Group – at camps, in foreign countries, on mountain tops, in Gang Shows and generally participating in the fun of Scouting. Read it and enjoy – for you all played a huge part in it.
